Job Summary
Conduct rehabilitation programs for athletes following injury evaluation and treatment plan establishment, collaborating closely with physical therapists and physicians. Administer first aid during practices and sporting events, manage the Athletic Training room to ensure supply levels and a safe environment, and maintain accurate records of all evaluations and treatments. Communicate effectively with coaches, administration, parents, and medical team members to ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before athlete participation. Provide education on injury prevention, health literacy, and mental wellbeing while developing relationships with key stakeholders including the athletic director and coaching staff.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
