Job Summary
Carry out rehabilitation programs after athlete evaluation and treatment plan establishment, collaborating closely with physical therapists and physicians. Assess and administer first aid to injured athletes during practices and sporting events, making appropriate physician referrals when needed. Oversee the operation of the Athletic Training room to ensure appropriate supply levels, maximal coverage, and a clean, safe, professional environment. Communicate effectively with coaches, school administration, parents, athletes, and medical team members while maintaining accurate records of evaluations, referrals, and treatments. Provide education on injury prevention, health literacy, nutrition, and mental health wellbeing. Ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before allowing athlete participation. Variable working hours with unpredictability, including late nights, to match partner needs. Minimum qualifications include current Athletic Training licensure, Board of Certification credentialing, and Basic Life Support. Location: Murray, Utah.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
