Job Summary
Provide medical coverage on field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events, including administering first aid and making physician referrals. Carry out rehabilitation programs after evaluation and treatment plan establishment while collaborating with PTs and physicians. Oversee the Athletic Training room to ensure supply levels, maximal coverage, and a clean, safe environment. Maintain accurate records of evaluations, referrals, and treatments. Communicate effectively with coaches, administration, parents, and medical team members. Ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before athlete participation. Develop relationships with key stakeholders including the Athletic Director, coaching staff, and boosters. Organize in-services, lectures, conferences, and seasonal physicals.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work.
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
