Job Summary

Provide medical coverage on-field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events, including administering first aid and making physician referrals. Carry out rehabilitation programs after evaluations and collaborate closely with PTs and physicians. Assess and manage the Athletic Training room to ensure supplies are maintained, coverage is maximal, and the environment remains clean, safe, and professional. Maintain accurate records of evaluations, referrals, and treatments while communicating effectively with coaches, administration, parents, and medical team members. Ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before allowing athlete participation and advocate for injury prevention, health literacy, and mental wellbeing. Develop relationships with key stakeholders including the athletic director, coaching staff, and boosters. Organize in-services, lectures, and seasonal physicals. Variable working hours with unpredictability and potential late nights.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work.
  • Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
