Job Summary

Provide medical coverage for injured athletes during practices and events, including on-field and training room support. Collaborate with physicians and physical therapists to carry out rehabilitation programs and ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before athlete participation. Administer first aid, maintain accurate treatment records, and oversee the Athletic Training room to ensure supplies, cleanliness, and safety. Communicate effectively with coaches, administration, parents, and other sports medicine team members while organizing in-services, lectures, and seasonal physicals. Develop relationships with key stakeholders including the athletic director, faculty, and boosters. Advocate for injury prevention, health literacy, and mental wellbeing. Requires current Athletic Training licensure, BOC credentialed status, and Basic Life Support certification. Schedule involves variable hours with potential late nights.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
  • Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers

Desired Qualifications

  • Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
