Job Summary
Provide medical coverage on field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events, administering first aid and making appropriate physician referrals. Carry out rehabilitation programs after evaluation and treatment plan establishment, collaborating closely with PT and physicians. Assess and manage the Athletic Training room to ensure supplies are maintained, coverage is provided, and the environment remains clean, safe, and professional. Maintain accurate records of evaluations, referrals, and treatments while developing relationships with coaches, administration, parents, and medical teams. Ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before athlete participation and organize educational opportunities such as in-services, lectures, and seasonal physicals.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
