Job Summary
Provide medical coverage, on-field and in the training room, for injured athletes during practices and events. Carry out rehabilitation programs after evaluation and treatment plan establishment, collaborating closely with PT and physicians. Assess and administer first aid, maintain accurate records of evaluations and treatments, and ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before athlete participation. Oversee the Athletic Training room to maintain supplies, coverage, and a clean, safe environment. Communicate effectively with coaches, administration, parents, and medical team members while developing relationships with key stakeholders. Deliver education and training on injury prevention, health literacy, nutrition, and mental health wellbeing.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
