Job Summary
Provide medical coverage on-field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events, collaborating closely with physicians and physical therapists to carry out rehabilitation programs. Assess and administer first aid, maintain accurate records of evaluations and treatments, and oversee the operation of the Athletic Training room to ensure supplies and a safe environment. Communicate effectively with coaches, parents, and administration while educating athletes on injury prevention and health literacy. Manage variable working hours and unpredictable schedules to meet partner needs, ensuring proper return-to-play criteria are met before athlete participation.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
