Job Summary
Provide medical coverage on field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events, including variable hours and late nights. Carry out rehabilitation programs after evaluation, assess and administer first aid, and ensure proper return-to-play criteria are met before participation. Oversee the Athletic Training room to maintain supplies, cleanliness, and safety while communicating effectively with coaches, administration, parents, and medical providers. Maintain accurate records of evaluations and treatments, and provide education on injury prevention, nutrition, and mental health. Develop relationships with key stakeholders including physicians, athletic directors, and coaching staff.
Required Qualifications
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work.
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Two years' experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
