Job Summary
Prevent, assess, manage, treat, and rehabilitate student-athlete injuries and conditions in accordance with the State of Florida practice act and collegiate sports medicine guidelines. Provide quality healthcare services to assigned teams and coverage sites, including traveling with teams as required. Act as an ambassador for Baptist Health Care, Andrews Institute, and the sports medicine department to facilitate access to health care services. Educate coaches, athletic directors, administrators, officials, and staff on emergency preparedness, injury prevention, and best practices for the health and well-being of student-athletes, spectators, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- State of Florida practice act knowledge
- Collegiate Sports Medicine Outreach guidelines and standards knowledge
- Andrews Institute Sports Medicine Outreach guidelines and standards knowledge
- Baptist Health Care sports medicine agreements knowledge
- Ability to travel with teams as required
- Emergency preparedness education capability
- Injury prevention education capability
- Health, care, and well-being education capability for student-athletes, spectators, and staff
