Job Summary
Athletic Trainer position at Amherst College involving patient care, prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports injuries for students involved in intercollegiate, intramural, club sports, and physical education activities. Responsibilities include concussion management, counseling of student-athletes, administration of modality treatments, rehabilitation regimen supervision, protective equipment fitting, bandaging, and administrative tasks such as medical records and insurance processes. Requires adherence to Massachusetts licensure laws and NATA Standards, ongoing education, and ability to travel with teams to events; exceptional communication and collaboration with health professionals, faculty, coaches, and students; flexible scheduling to accommodate athletic activities. Preferred Master’s Degree and ongoing national certification/MA licensure maintenance.
