Job Summary
Assess patients for musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries, develop rehabilitation programs, and demonstrate prescribed therapeutic exercises under physician direction. Perform clinical tasks including casting, splinting, wound care, medication preparation, and concussion treatments while monitoring patient responses. Coordinate care with providers, educate patients on diagnosis and prognosis, and complete documentation, intake forms, and prior authorizations. Clean and maintain medical equipment, assist with outreach programs, and respond to patient messages. Requires current Athletic Trainer license, BLS certification, and ability to lift heavy items and navigate busy clinical environments.
Required Qualifications
- Current license as an Athletic Trainer in state of practice
- National athletic trainer certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Experience in a variety of computer programs including data bases, word processing, and internet
