Job Summary
Provide evaluation, first aid, and emergency care to student athletes during school athletic events, including concussion management and injury prevention activities. Deliver assessment, treatment, and reconditioning to patients in outpatient rehabilitation clinics under therapist supervision, while maintaining accurate injury records and managing treatment space cleanliness. Coordinate with school districts, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure ongoing communication and follow-up. Serve as a liaison between school districts and St. Charles Outpatient Rehabilitation, assisting with sports medicine wellness clinics and educational presentations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training
- BOC Certified
- New York State License and Registration
- Must be able to assess and provide treatment and training interventions for student athletes within the athletic trainer scope of practice
- Must be able to work independently with excellent time management skills
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to carry out patient treatment plans under the direct supervision of the licensed therapist for patients with orthopedic and neurological diagnoses
- Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced department, organizing and maintaining the cleanliness of treatment space and equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in an outpatient clinic setting
