Job Summary
The Athletic Trainer will provide athletic training services to student athletes, managing treatment and rehabilitative care under the supervision of team physicians. Responsibilities include assessing and treating injuries, educating athletes on injury prevention, performing injury evaluations, providing immediate emergency care, and developing emergency action plans. Essential qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology, state licensure, BOC certification, and basic life support training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in related field (Exercise Science or Kinesiology)
- Completion of an Accredited Athletic Trainer Curriculum
- Current Licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Pennsylvania
- Athletic Trainer Certification through the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program
- Valid Driver’s License
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Previous outpatient office experience
- Previous experience with athletic training at the secondary or intercollegiate levels
- Experience in Healthcare setting
