Job Summary
Athletic Trainer needed for fast-paced orthopedic clinic. Own patient experience from check-in to check-out, serve as clinical liaison among patient, medical assistant, and physician, document patient history in EHR, and provide patients with home exercise protocols per physician instructions. Also fit braces/crutches, ensure understanding of care plans, and maintain HIPAA/OSHA compliance. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with in-office procedures, wound care and dressing changes, suture/staple removal, managing clinical inventory, and coordinating MRI authorizations. Requires Bachelor's degree and current NATA-BOC certification with state licensure or active process, plus strong communication to translate clinical information between patients and physicians. Prior orthopedic/EHR experience and familiarity with wound care or in-office procedures are preferred.,
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Current NATA-BOC certification
- State licensure, certification, or registration as an Athletic Trainer (or actively in process of obtaining)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate clinical information clearly between patients and physicians
- Experience preferred in medical/clinical setting; orthopedic experience a plus
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Experience with wound care, suture/staple removal, or assisting with in-office procedures
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stretch, and stoop for extended periods
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed
