Job Summary
Coordinate athletic health care for Gould Academy students by assessing, treating, and rehabilitating injuries using modalities such as ultrasound and massage. Manage athletic training facilities, equipment, and supplies while developing and monitoring the athletic training budget. Provide on-site coverage at home games and events, including winter sports community life duties, and lead concussion management protocols with baseline testing and return-to-play procedures. Maintain electronic medical records for all injuries and rehabilitation procedures in compliance with HIPAA and FERPA. Support summer camp athletic training requirements and collaborate with the Director of Health Services to ensure access to care.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Emergency Medical Record systems, like Magnus
- Ability to work independently with confidence
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to wellness and the 'whole person' team approach
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Obtain CHRC certification from Maine Department of Education
- Bachelor's degree required
- Certified by the Board of Certification (BOC) and maintain standards established by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) role delineation study
- Obtain and maintain state licensure as an athletic trainer
- Member in good standing with NATA, the local NATA district, and the state athletic trainers' association
- Current certification in CPR
- Able to perform CPR and first aid procedures

- CSCS or PES preferred
