Job Summary

Provide emergency medical and first aid treatment to students at scheduled athletic events, administering pulmonary and cardiac resuscitation including Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) as necessary. Refer serious patients for appropriate medical care via ambulance and complete necessary reports to district personnel in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with coaches and other district personnel while performing EMT duties. Possess current PA EMT or ATC certification, CPR certification, and valid PA driver's license. Available August 2026 on a seasonal sports schedule with pay of $60 per single event or $100 for back-to-back events.

Required Qualifications

  • current PA EMT certification or ATC certification
  • current CPR certification
  • Trained in use of AED's
  • valid PA drivers license
  • Knowledge of sports medicine procedures
  • Knowledge of emergency treatment procedures
  • Clearances must be within 12 months
  • TB must be within 90 days of hire date
  • PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
  • Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
  • FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114)
  • School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB test) PDE 6004 Form (Act 24)
  • Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form(s) (Act 168)
  • able to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects (SEDENTARY)
  • able to exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects (LIGHT WORK)
  • able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects (MEDIUM WORK)
  • able to exert up to 75 lbs. of force occasionally or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects (HEAVY WORK)
  • able to exert in excess of 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and in excess of 50 lbs. of force frequently, and in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects (VERY HEAVY WORK)
