Job Summary
Manage media relations, communications, and promotion of the university's athletic programs by drafting press releases, game notes, statistics, and media guides while maintaining the athletics website and social media platforms. Coordinate interviews, photo/video coverage, and media requests, then track and report athletic accomplishments, records, and milestones. Support game-day operations, organize events and award ceremonies, and assist the Athletics Department and Athletic Director with administrative tasks, database maintenance, and departmental meetings. Participate in institutional chapel services and faith-based community initiatives. Pursue a graduate degree at the university while working 20 hours per week with tuition and housing benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Acceptance into a graduate program at the university
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
- Willingness to participate in chapel and faith-based programming
- Strong Christian commitment
- Adherence to the standards outlined in the OCU Community Lifestyle Statement
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in sports information, journalism, or media production
- Knowledge of NCCAA rules and athletics operations
- Proficiency in social media, Adobe Creative Suite, or video editing
