Job Summary
Coordinate and oversee middle school athletics (grades 6-8) for the 2026-2027 year, develop and manage practice, game, and event schedules with coaches and facilities staff, serve as primary liaison for coaches, parents, students and opposing schools on logistics and updates, ensure eligibility in accordance with district policies and league rules, maintain records of participation and game results, oversee equipment inventory and maintenance, enforce safety protocols and sportsmanship standards, assist in recruiting and evaluating coaching staff, and liaison with leagues and governing bodies; attend home indoor events when needed and support professional development for coaching staff.
Required Qualifications
- New Jersey Standard Certificate or eligible for certification
- teaching experience in the QUAD preferred
- Knowledge of and commitment to student athletic programs at the middle school level
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including after school/evenings
- Prior experience coaching or athletic administration preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to student wellness, sportsmanship, and fair play
