Job Summary
Athletic Coach tasked with coaching student athletes in a designated sport for the season, enforcing safety and athletic policies, coordinating with the Athletic Director and Principal, guiding students on technique and sportsmanship, managing equipment, scheduling, and communication with parents and administrators; requires at least a High School Diploma/GED, training in Physical Education or sport, and coaching experience at middle/high school level; preferred qualifications include an Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Education, NC teacher certification, and 3+ years coaching experience; duties include implementing policies, organizing conferences and staff meetings, budgeting, inventory, and ensuring academic eligibility of athletes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Training in Physical Education or particular sport
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- NC Certification as Teacher, preferably in Physical Education
