Job Summary
Head Girls Swimming Coach at Terry Parker High School. Administers the athletic program in coordination with the District and school policies, enforces conditioning and safety rules, oversees practice and game responsibilities, ensures supervision of athletes, monitors weekly academic progress, conducts staff meetings and tryouts, coordinates fundraising activities, and reports injuries. Ensures compliance with Title IX, FHSAA rules, and the DCPS Athletic Health requirements; collaborates with athletic director and Jacksonville Sports Medicine Program. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, completion of NFHS/AP coaching courses including CPR/First Aid/AED, and strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Completion of required athletic coaching courses to include First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Sudden Cardiac Arrest and Concussion in Sports (NFHS courses), AED training, Florida Department of Education Certificate (Athletic Coaching)
