Job Summary
Head Girls Soccer Athletic Coach at Twin Lakes Middle School responsible for administering all aspects of the sport within the DCPS Athletic Department and in accordance with FHSAA and NFHS guidelines. Duties include enforcing conditioning and safety rules, coordinating with the athletic director on health forms and equipment, conducting and supervising fundraising activities, ensuring supervision of athletes, enforcing Title IX/NFHS rules, monitoring weekly academic progress, organizing practices and game responsibilities, reporting injuries with athletic trainer, and striving to improve the athletic program and overall educational program. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are required, with experience in coordinating tryouts, practices, and athletic contests for student-athletes.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience: Previous experience preferred as an athletic coach or in the coaching arena
- Certifications & Licenses: Completion of required athletic coaching courses to include First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Sudden Cardiac Arrest and Concussion in Sports (NFHS courses), AED training, Florida Department of Education Certificate (Athletic Coaching)
