Job Summary
Athletic Coach - Head Boys Golf at Atlantic Coast High School for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsible for administering all aspects of the team within district and school policies, ensuring health and safety, coordinating conditioning, organizing practices and games, overseeing staff and tryouts, monitoring academic progress, and maintaining compliance with Title IX, FHSAA, and DCPS guidelines. Must supervise athletes, coordinate with the athletic director, conduct fundraising activities, and ensure proper documentation (health examinations, permissions, and accident reports). Requires strong leadership, communication, organization, problem solving, and the ability to motivate student-athletes; certification in First Aid/CPR, NFHS concussion and CAA courses, AED training, and Florida DOE Athletic Coaching certificate are required.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certifications & Licenses: Completion of required athletic coaching courses to include First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Sudden Cardiac Arrest and Concussion in Sports (NFHS courses), AED training, Florida Department of Education Certificate (Athletic Coaching)
- Experience: Previous experience preferred as an athletic coach or in the coaching arena
