Job Summary
Instruct and coach students in girls volleyball; arrange playing schedules; perform coaching responsibilities; attend required meetings and trainings; maintain high safety standards; apply coaching theory and techniques; demonstrate ethical sportsmanship; communicate with parents/guardians and school staff regarding emergencies; ensure alignment with CIF policies and district athletic program standards; emphasize teamwork, discipline, and academic encouragement of student-athletes.
Required Qualifications
- valid CPR card
- valid First Aid card OR college-level course in care/prevention of athletic injuries OR EMT I/II card OR Sports Injury Certificate
- Concussion
- Sudden Cardiac Arrest
- COVID Safety
- Fundamentals of coaching training (high school) OR Coaching Essentials training (middle school)
- Knowledge of CIF policies
- Knowledge of adolescent psychology
- ability to communicate with parents/guardians and staff
- knowledge of school policies
- experience coaching the sport at high school level
- Previous successful coaching experience preferred
- current CA teaching credential (preferred)
