Job Summary
Athletic Coach for Girls Basketball responsible for enforcing Capital Prep Schools athletic program policies, setting program goals aligned with the athletics department, and delivering regular practices and competitive preparation. The role includes motivating student-athletes to perform at high levels, coordinating conditioning and training with the emphasis on player development, applying sound teaching techniques during games and practices, supervising assistant coaches, and conducting performance evaluations for staff. The position requires managing travel standards, overseeing athletic care for student-athletes, and fulfilling duties as assigned by administration. Candidates should possess a High School diploma, valid CT driver’s license, CT coaching certification, CPR/AED/First Aid certification, strong verbal and written communication skills, and willingness to fundraise. Availability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends is expected.
Required Qualifications

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Coaching and/or participation at high school level preferred; demonstrated ability and passion to teach and demonstrate skills of sport applying for
- Ability to work weekdays, evenings and weekends
- Willingness to fundraise
- Ability to interact with all levels of the school community.
