Athletic Coach (Boys Track)

Model and teach high moral character and superior coaching standards, prioritizing sportsmanship. Promote the sport within the school and implement athletic policies for the coaching staff and athletes. Provide safe coaching mechanics, supervise practices, and maintain discipline while addressing grievances to increase morale. Work with faculty to support player academic and athletic success, monitoring grades and conduct. Assist the athletic director in scheduling, budget development, travel arrangements, and equipment management, including inventory and reconditioning. Ensure compliance with the Rockingham County Schools Athletic Handbook and NCHSAA by documenting physical examinations, parental consent, and eligibility. Complete and submit injury paperwork within 24 hours and organize pre-season meetings. Present at all practices and games, providing safeguards for participants and adhering to scheduled facility times.
