Athletic Coach - Baseball - Turrentine Middle

Athletic Coach at the middle/high school level responsible for coaching baseball, teaching proper techniques, and modeling sportsmanship for student athletes during the sports season. Duties include implementing athletic policies, ensuring safe practices, coordinating practices and games, maintaining equipment and facilities, supervising assistants and student managers, assisting with scheduling and transportation, monitoring academic eligibility, communicating with parents and staff, and promoting the sport within and outside the school. Requires knowledge of board-approved athletic policies, state/conference regulations, physical examinations and parental consent procedures, and strong leadership, organization, and safety awareness. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED and training in Physical Education or the sport; preferred qualifications include an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related area, at least three years of coaching experience at the middle or high school level, and NC Teacher Certification in Physical Education. Essential duties cover program oversight, compliance, communication, coaching clinics, budget involvement, equipment management, and student-athlete development.
