Job Summary
Athletic Coach at the assigned middle school, specializing in baseball. Responsible for coaching student athletes for the sport season, teaching and modeling good sportsmanship, implementing safe practices to protect students from injuries, and serving as a positive role model for the school community. Duties include enforcing athletic policies, ensuring compliance with state/conference regulations, organizing practices and games, coordinating with the Athletic Director and Principal, guiding staff development through clinics and meetings, managing equipment and facilities, monitoring student academic eligibility, advising athletes on college opportunities, and performing related duties to support a high-quality athletic program.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Training in Physical Education or particular sport
- Must possess a valid driver’s license issued by the NC Department of Motor Vehicles
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
