Job Summary
Coaches girls track for Twin Lakes Middle for the 26-27 school year, administering the athletic program per DCPS policy and state/federal guidelines. Responsibilities include enforcing conditioning and safety rules, attending FHSAA clinics, coordinating physicals and equipment releases, organizing fundraising, supervising athletes, enforcing Title IX rules, monitoring weekly academic progress, planning practices and game duties, reporting injuries to the athletic trainer and ensuring return-to-play procedures, supporting program improvement, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of athletic coaching courses (First Aid, CPR, NFHS Concussion in Sports, AED, and Florida DOE Athletic Coaching certification). Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, as are the ability to manage tryouts, practices, team meetings, and athletic contests for student-athletes.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Completion of required athletic coaching courses to include First Aid and CPR, Sudden Cardiac Arrest and Concussion in Sports (NFHS courses), AED training, Florida Department of Education Certificate (Athletic Coaching)
