Job Summary
Coaches the boys track program at Twin Lakes Middle, administering conditioning rules, coordinating with the athletic director, organizing practices and games, monitoring academic progress, and supervising athletes to ensure safety. Leads fundraising activities, enforces Title IX and FHSAA guidelines, reports injuries, and supports overall athletic program development. Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent and coaching certifications (NFHS courses, CPR/First Aid, AED). Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, time management, and organizational skills, with duties including staff meetings, tryouts, and mentoring student-athletes in a school setting in Jacksonville, FL.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Completion of required athletic coaching courses including First Aid, CPR, Sudden Cardiac Arrest and Concussion in Sports (NFHS)
- AED training
- Florida Department of Education Certificate (Athletic Coaching)
- Knowledge of the sport and strategies
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to organize and supervise practices and games
- Ability to motivate student-athletes
- Ability to conduct staff meetings
- Ability to manage tryouts and athletic contests
