Job Summary
Coordinate and oversee the Athey Kids ministry during weekend and Wednesday services; recruit, schedule, train, and disciple volunteers; manage logistics (schedules, vendors, supplies) and support large events; maintain ongoing quality communications with volunteers, parents, and staff; develop and manage the annual budget; evaluate age-appropriate program materials and space for Athey Kids ministry; collaborate with ACC staff to edify the team and fulfill ministry goals; perform administrative functions and provide leadership in a dynamic church environment; requires strong leadership, interpersonal, and computer skills, with a focus on continuous ministry improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Agree to Athey Creek doctrinal distinctive and vision as found in What We Believe/Vision statement
- Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in the Scriptures
- Leadership abilities including organization, delegation, administration, and interpersonal relationships
- Ability to work well with parents, volunteers, church staff and children
- Takes initiative and seeks to improve the ministry continually
- Competent in computer skills
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle stress well
- Effective communication skills
