Job Summary
Perform routine, preventive, and unscheduled maintenance on assigned signaling system equipment, including inspection, adjustments, testing, cleaning, and lubrication. Execute troubleshooting, identification, and resolution of system faults by analyzing log files and conducting first-level analysis of complex failures. Drive work vehicles to emergency response sites, manage on-site spare parts, and produce accurate maintenance records using a computerized management system. Ensure conformance with safety policies, operational specifications, and local regulations while executing health checks and job hazard analyses. Maintain compliance with Red Tag, LOTO, and hot stick application protocols during close proximity work on third rail systems.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and electromechanical controlled systems and equipment
- 1-3 years' experience in electronic equipment maintenance
- Ability to use common and specialized tools and test equipment
- Knowledge of, or the ability to attain knowledge of, the safety rules regarding lock-out protection while working on the line and the rules governing the protection of traffic
- Ability to use and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturers' maintenance instructions, Operating Rulebook, etc., and to comprehend the operations and maintenance of system
- A team player with a strong analytical mind and ability to work independently and in team environment with minimal supervision
- Must have a valid US state's driver's license
- Associate Degree in Electrical engineering or related field OR equivalent technical experience
- Ability to work under pressure during intense periods of activities
- Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Associate Degree in Electrical engineering or related field

Desired Qualifications
