Job Summary
Teach three courses per semester within Trinity’s ATC Dual Enrollment Program (including courses such as Pre-Anatomy & Physiology, Anatomy & Physiology I, and Medical Terminology) at the ATC Whitman Walker Max Robinson Center. Provide active, hands-on instruction tailored to ATC students, design supplemental instruction and interventions, contribute to faculty development, assess student proficiency and outcomes to inform placement and retention strategies, attend weekly meetings, participate in multi-day ATC Summer Instructor Institute, manage lab requirements, update gradebooks, and enforce attendance and discipline policies. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field, have strong teaching experience (especially with dual enrollment), and demonstrate excellence in engaged and active learning practices; official transcripts and references will be requested for interviews.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Biology, Biological Sciences, Anatomy & Physiology, Health Sciences, or related field, or in Education with a strong biological science focus
- demonstrated strong teaching skills
- previous undergraduate or high school teaching experience
- preference for experience teaching dual enrollment students
- ability to design and deliver curriculum; develop instructional interventions; assess student learning outcomes; maintain gradebooks; participate in professional development; manage labs and supply requests
