Job Summary
Lead the AT Team on the GE Haliade-X platform by managing full scope task execution, from part preparation and work-party deployment to reporting turbine status and project KPIs. Perform and oversee maintenance, repair, and replacement of parts on the wind turbine generator, while leading diagnostic electrical analysis and ensuring accurate documentation. Coordinate safe onboarding and offboarding of technicians, manage resource development, and serve as the primary site lead for operational and logistical matters. Enforce high safety standards, monitor weather-based allowable working limits, and champion GE Lean principles to drive efficiency and process quality improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Wind Technician
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in troubleshooting (hydraulic, electrical, and power tools)
- Demonstrated experience leading field teams and coordinating cross-functional, remote teams
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Ability and willingness to work rotating shift schedules and be on-call per site needs
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally during periods of training and Kaizen events
- Fluency in English (strong oral and written skills)
- Ability and willingness to work in diverse environments, including offshore vessels, industrial facilities, and manufacturing sites
- Ability to handle repetitive weight of 50 lbs
- Ability to climb towers up to 300 feet daily
- Must meet manufacturer weight limits (not to exceed 300 lbs, including all required gear)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must successfully complete a drug screen
