At-Risk Counselor

At-Risk Counselor position in Johnston County, North Carolina, responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with state standards. Provides leadership in implementing the Guidance Curriculum, Individual Student Planning, and Preventive and Responsive Services, with most time spent delivering direct services and the remainder in program management, system support, and accountability. Uses data to guide program direction, collaborates with administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community/business leaders, and communicates goals of the program. Responsibilities include leading the program, coordinating with stakeholders, providing developmentally appropriate activities, assisting students with academic, career, and personal/social planning, and participating in program audits and Medicaid-related activities as part of the District’s support for eligible students.
