Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries in their homes, focusing on total hip and knee replacements. Conduct initial evaluations, administer tests, and synthesize results to formulate diagnoses, goals, and plans of care. Educate patients and support systems on safe bed mobility, transfers, ambulation, and stair negotiation. Record patient care data in the Prompt EMR and communicate with the interdisciplinary team to reassess treatment needs. Collaborate with the Patient Access team for scheduling and complete daily billing while transitioning patients to outpatient locations for continuity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state practicing in
- Completed state regulated CEU requirement in appropriate state (NY, NJ)
- Valid CPR License
- Orthopedic background
- Masters or better
- Bachelors or better
