Job Summary
As an At Home Caregiver for Visiting Angels, provide in-home support to clients across Duncan and surrounding areas, including personal care, hygiene assistance, light exercise or walks, meal planning/preparation, light housekeeping, safety reporting, companionship, emergency responsiveness, and accompanying clients on shopping trips. Emphasizes adherence to individualized care plans, mobility/ambulation support, medication reminders, and compassionate interaction to enhance quality of life. Opportunities for advanced training in dementia/Alzheimer’s care are available.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
- Training in First Aid and emergency response is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes
- Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
- Willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (e.g., background check)
