Process assigned Central Intake referrals by procuring incoming referrals, obtaining necessary documentation, and entering accurate information into appropriate systems to assure clean claims for timely reimbursement. Perform authorizations and verifications for identified product lines, verify member eligibility, and contact benefit providers to gather policy benefits and ensure services will be reimbursed. Answer incoming telephone calls, screen for appropriateness, and transfer calls to RNs for orders while utilizing resources to provide correct information to referral sources. Demonstrate adherence to intake processes from start to hand-off, maintain accurate account files, and network with facility staff and insurance payor case managers to facilitate referrals. Meet daily productivity standards and solve pertinent patient referral issues as assigned.
