AT - CDL Driver Trainer

CDL Driver Trainer responsible for all driver training functions for the CDL program at the assigned location, delivering classroom instruction and hands-on driving instruction. Responsibilities include convening classes on schedule, maintaining a safe learning environment, administering written tests, conducting pre-trip inspections, instructing air-brake tests and complex maneuvers (straight-line backing, offset backing, 45-degree alley-docking, parallel parking), and using effective delivery and assessment techniques to evaluate student progress. Requires strong communication, leadership, and instructional skills, the ability to stand for long periods, and familiarity with CDL procedures, vehicle equipment, and relevant regulations. Must demonstrate motivation, professionalism, and commitment to student success, with the ability to inspire learners and maintain confidentiality and records as required. Proficiency with technology (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, cloud-based applications) and the ability to engage adult learners are essential.
