Job Summary
Coordinate audits for construction and real estate clients, managing engagements from financial statement preparation to management letters. Assess risks, design audit procedures, and review work product for Senior Associates and Managers while providing coaching. Identify technical accounting matters, manage project profitability, and present business advice to clients. Facilitate team development through training and maintain relationships with external centers of influence. Travel 25% of the year as needed.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
- CPA or CA Certification
- 9+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment
- Previous experience auditing construction and related organizations
- A successful record of directing and deploying team members on multiple simultaneous engagements
- Understanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and FASB regulations
- A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships
- A thorough understanding of construction accounting and revenue recognition, the estimating process, overhead allocation methods, and backlog and related organizations
- A strong background for simultaneously managing multiple projects and engagement teams for various clients
- Willingness to travel 25% of the year, depending on your clients
