Job Summary
Manage multiple audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional client service. Lead engagement workflows including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, risk assessment, and reliance on internal controls while reviewing workpapers and deliverables for compliance with professional standards. Apply advanced auditing and accounting knowledge to resolve complex technical issues, interpret GAAS and SSARS, and conduct risk assessments for both external and internal assurance engagements. Mentor engagement teams, delegate effectively, and participate in proposal development and business growth initiatives. Maintain engagement budgets, monitor deadlines, and uphold quality control standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
- Six to eight years of progressive public accounting or assurance experience
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or other applicable professional certification
- Advanced knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and financial reporting frameworks
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple client engagements and leading engagement teams
- Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining applicable professional certifications and continuing education requirements
- Ability to occasionally travel to client locations and professional meetings as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
- Experience using audit and engagement management software such as TeamMate, Suralink, Pfx Engagement, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, internal control evaluation, and quality control standards
- Experience researching and resolving complex accounting and auditing issues
