Job Summary
Intern in the Assurance practice at BDO, participating in a structured training program to learn GAAP/GAAS and BDO audit methodology. You will assist with various stages of the audit process, provide support to the audit staff, communicate with clients and related parties, document work in working papers using BDO tools, contribute ideas to the audit team, complete an accounting or audit-related research project, and present findings to a panel of Assurance professionals. Requires enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Accounting with strong written/verbal communication and teamwork skills; CPA progression pursued. Office location is Chicago, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Masters program in Accounting, required
- Pursuing a masters degree in Accounting, preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Leadership experience (preferred)
- Actively pursuing school credits to become a CPA
