Job Summary
Assurance Intern role supporting audit, tax, and consulting teams by developing core technical competencies and delivering client service. Responsibilities include recognizing fundamental auditing, tax, and consulting issues; preparing clear, organized work papers; becoming proficient with firm software; maintaining professional client communications; prioritizing tasks to complete assignments efficiently; informing senior team members of progress; working independently with guidance as needed; developing professional skepticism and integrity; performing basic analytical reviews to identify inconsistencies or unusual activity in financial accounts; and demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills with proper grammar and clarity. The internship is an entry-level in-office opportunity designed to develop capabilities within the public accounting services offered by the firm.
Required Qualifications
- Must be an accounting major enrolled at an accredited college or university.
- Interest in the public accounting industry as a career choice.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Interns are required to work in the office during their internship.
