Job Summary
Assurance Director leads complex audits and assurance engagements, trains and supervises professional teams, reviews financial statements in accordance with GAAP, conducts technical research, and supports Partners on consulting projects. The role offers leadership within Moore Colson’s public accounting practice, opportunities to influence firm strategy, mentor staff, contribute to business development, and participate in a large, award-winning firm culture with a flexible work environment (up to 2 remote days per week). The candidate should have CPA licensure, 8-10 years of experience in assurance/audit, industry expertise in Manufacturing, Distribution, Transportation, and strong client-service, communication, and leadership capabilities. Required Qualifications
- Current CPA license required
- 8-10 years’ experience in the assurance/audit side of public accounting
- Experience overseeing Audit engagements, leading a team of professionals, and reviewing work papers and financial statements
- Well-rounded knowledge of audit and accounting principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite products
- Proficiency with CCH Pro fx Engagement and IDEA, software is a plus
