Job Summary
Execute financial, compliance, and operational audits by collaborating with team members, scoping engagements, conducting control testing, and drafting reports. Test internal controls over financial reporting to support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and coordinate with external auditors. Develop relationships with management to communicate findings and insights while ensuring adherence to Institute of Internal Auditors standards. Participate in special projects such as pre-implementation readiness assessments and due diligence. This role reports directly to the Assurance Manager within the Chemours Assurance Services Internal Audit team, based in Wilmington, Delaware.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
- CPA, CIA or other similar certification(s) obtained or in progress
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Internal Audit or External Audit
- Knowledge of and experience with Sarbanes-Oxley and methodologies for achieving compliance and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA's) code of ethics and professional standards
- Ability to travel (domestic and international) – approximately 10-20%
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of SAP and/or other financial applications such as OneStream
- Experience acquiring data then transforming, mapping, cleansing, and preparing data for analysis
- Experience with AI and data analytic tools (e.g., Microsoft CoPilot, Excel, Power BI, Alteryx)
- Big 4 experience
- Manufacturing industry experience
