Job Summary
The Assistant Yard Foreman supports the efficient operation of the yard and dispatching deliveries, coordinating daily activities and ensuring safety standards are met.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Building materials knowledge.
- Prior experience in a Lumber yard.
- Basic knowledge of yard operations, vehicle movement, and safety regulations.
- Ability to operate yard equipment such as forklifts or yard trucks is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a yard or warehouse environment.
- Certification in forklift operation or other relevant equipment.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime.
