Assistant Teacher (Associates Degree Level) assists teachers with the instructional program through individual or small group tutoring and directing classroom activities within a computer lab, under general supervision. Responsibilities include administering pre- and post-tests, grading and filing, assigning worksheets and learning activities, tutoring and monitoring student progress, maintaining instructional materials and equipment, conferencing with teachers, supervising student behavior, scheduling sessions, participating in school activities and parent conferences, and supporting instructional planning and district goals. Strong emphasis on dependability, teamwork, continuous learning, and equal opportunity provisions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to read and interpret safety and operating manuals are desirable.
