Job Summary
Enforces health and safety regulations; manages movement of freight, stock, and other materials to/from storage and production areas ( loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, containers ) using hand tools, forklifts, and other equipment. Coordinates operations and activities with supervisors; monitors schedules and production sequences to meet goals; inspects materials/products to detect defects; trains new employees on equipment operations and safety procedures; observes indicators to ensure conformance to standards; communicates with management/subordinates to resolve worker issues.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of prior Shipping/Receiving processes utilizing raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- 1-3 years of prior experience utilizing material handling equipment such as forklifts, hand tools, handcarts, etc.
- Knowledge of SAP
