Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager at Dollar General supports the Store Manager with supervising store staff, merchandising, cash handling and deposits, scheduling, training, and ensuring store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets. Responsibilities include providing customer service leadership, opening/closing the store at least two days per week, managing merchandise flow (receiving, stocking, rotating, displays), maintaining inventory accuracy, enforcing planograms, cashier accountability and cash control, and stepping in for Store Manager in their absence.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred
