Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager assists with supervision of store employees, merchandising, deposits, stocking and cashiering; opens/closes the store at least two days per week; helps with scheduling, training, safety meetings, planograms, and adherence to policies; maintains inventory and financial integrity through cashier accountability, deposit control, and refunds/overrides; may act in Store Manager's absence; requires strong interpersonal, written and oral communication, problem-solving, organizational skills, ability to read documents, cash handling and ability to drive to bank for deposits. The role is located in Valentine, NE and involves a fast-paced retail environment with physical requirements including lifting up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 55 pounds occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred
